Via-ferrata of Vidourle between Nîmes and Montpellier

Located inthe riverbank of the Virdourle, this via ferrata is one of the closest of Montpellier area. His great originality is found in his course right on top of the river. Unobstructed view on the river is guaranted!

This is a varied and sensationnal course which is waiting for you. Rope bridge, abseilings, verticals progression and spillway sections for the most reckless. Two itinaries are offered. One for initiation, allowing a secure discovery of the via ferrata and the others more difficult in the roof of the Baume mount for the most disciplined.

Of course you’ll be free to rotate from one and the other courses during the progression of the via ferrata. Our monitors will be pleased to guide you trough these difficulties with professionalism allowing you to entirely enjoy this adventure in the waterfront.

This via ferrata welcome all watersport level people and it could seduce you by his atypical side. It will alow you to enjoy fabulous natural views in a refreshing atmosphere.

What is Via-ferrata ?

You wish to discover news sport feeling in a world where vertigo has to be controlled, all along the Languedoc’s cliffs. The Via Ferreta could seduce you!

In the begenning, this ways have been established by italians to made possible the crossing of difficult mountian passes in the alps.

Via ferrate means litterally “closed cross”, is a way which is considered as half climbing and half hiking. Contrary to classical climbing, with this sport you are always equipped with a cable (called as “life cable”) et numerous specific metal equipments as bars, levels, gateways, zip line, Monkey bridge… your equipment will be always attached in the roch to progress in front of the cliff.

This sport will allow you to confront yourself though a universe only reserved to climbers. You’ll discover famous magnificient panoramas of the Monpellieran landscapes. You’ll overpass your aptitude through vertigo.

But don’t be afraid, our via-ferrata are accessible for everybody and they could be rearranged to your sport level and your perception through the way.
